Enify Engine is a crucial background application that must be installed to use Enify. It is essential for end-users' functionality and also a vital component in ensuring safety. Here's what you need to know about Enify Engine.
🏳️Enify 2.0 and above (New version)
What is Enify Engine?
Enify Engine is a small software application that users need to install when they start using Enify. It runs in the background and can be found in the system tray. It only accepts secure and authorized commands from the Enify application.
Enify Engine is responsible for launching the applications that you select in Enify, and it arranges them on your screens according to the chosen layouts. Additionally, Enify Engine keeps track of the number of monitors connected to your PC. You can easily access Enify Engine as soon as you log in to Enify.
Why does Enify Engine need to be installed?
EnifyEngine is a tool that enables you to select and manage the number of monitors connected to your PC and the layout you want to use. If you use Enify to launch an application and position it on your screen, EnifyEngine will assist you with this task. For instance, it is responsible for opening, moving, and closing programs as requested by Enify and provides feedback on whether it has successfully completed these tasks.
Where is Enify Engine installed?
Enify Engine is currently installed in the following directory: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local\Programs\EnifyEngine. It is not necessary to be an Administrator to install Enify Engine. However, if multiple users are sharing the same computer and they all wish to use Enify, Enify Engine must be installed separately for each user. This is because each user has their own specific user profile and Enify Engine needs to be installed in that profile in order to function properly.
Security Enify Engine
All communication with Enify takes place locally on your PC, and there is no external communication from the PC. The program runs with your permissions and does not have elevated access. It is intentionally designed with limited functionality to minimize any security implications.
The only data collected by the Enify Engine are the log files, which are located locally on your computer. These logs are used exclusively for troubleshooting purposes in case you face any issues, and Epsis does not have access to them. If you require assistance, the support team may request excerpts from these logs. You can easily access and review them from the Enify Engine icon in the notification area by right-clicking on it and selecting "Get Logs."
If multiple users on the PC will be using Enify, Enify Engine must be installed for each user.
