Enify App I Creating Templates

Templates aims to remove all that is difficult for an end user to create an Enify element. It can be made for basically all applications you have. Here is all you need to know to create, edit, delete, publish, unpublish and assign Templates

What are Enify Templates?

Enify is delivered with some of the most used Templates for instance Edge, Chrome and Office. Often our customers want to create templates for specialist applications. Templates contain the application and process data necessary to create and capture elements. An element simply contains the placeholder input required to provide context. Here is how you can start creating Templates for you and your team:

You need to have the role Admin to access these functions.

Getting started

    • In Enify, navigate to apps Apps →  data-table Templates.
    • Here you will find the Create Template button and a list of existing Templates.
    • The list includes metadata like Name, description, Last edited by, Last edited, User group and dependents.
  • Create Template
    • Click the Create Template button ( the Template editor window should appear ).
    • Give the Template a name, description, assign a User group to the Template and add an icon for the Template.
    • Save to apply changes.
    • The Templates window should appear and your Template should be in the list.

  • Edit Template
    • Locate the Template you want to edit and click the pencil on the far right (the Template editor window should appear).
    • You can edit name, description, User group and icon.
    • Click the Save icon to save you changes.
  • Create Template variants
    • Template variants are simply different ways of opening a program.
    • An example can be:
      • to open Microsoft Edge normally and in kiosk mode. You need two variants to do this.
      • Locate the Template where you want to create the variant and click on the pencil on the far right (the Template editor window should appear).
      • In the variant section, click the Create new variant button (the Template variant window should appear).
      • Fill out necessary information.
      • Notice the Close behaviour – default is Close application window when session ends. 
      • Click Save.
      • The Template editor window should appear and you should see the new variant in the variant list. 
      • Publish Template Variant
        • To Publish the Template variant (so that other users can use it), in the the Template variant window check the Publish checkbox on the far right.
  • Edit Template variant:
    • In the Template editor window variant section, locate the variant you want to edit and click on the pencil on the far right (the Template variant window should appear).
    • You can edit name, description, file path, arguments, closing behaviour, variables and windows evaluations.
    • Click the Save icon to save you changes (the Template editor window should appear).
  • Delete Template and variants:
    • In the Template editor window, locate the Template you want to delete and click the Delete icon and confirm with Yes.
    • The main window should appear and the Template list should be updated.
    • In the Template editor window variant section, locate the variant you want to Delete and click the pencil on the far right (the Template variant window should appear).
    • Click the Delete button on the bottom of the page and confirm with Yes.
    • The Template editor window should appear and the variant list should be updated.

Note: It is not possible to delete Templates and Template variants that comes with Enify. Only Templates and variants that you have created is possible to delete.
